Meet Coach Stacey
Stacey Rodriguez brings a lifelong commitment to athletics, player development, and teamwork to Sol VBC. A three-sport athlete in high school, she competed in volleyball, basketball, and track and was proud to be captain of all three teams her senior year. While basketball was her first love, discovering volleyball in eighth grade sparked a passion that continues to shape her life today. Her dedication to athletic excellence led her to compete at the Volleyball Junior Olympics in high school, and she went on to row Division I crew at the University of Miami.
Stacey began coaching youth basketball in 2019 with DC’s Department of Parks and Recreation at Glover Park Community Center. In 2022, she began coaching middle school volleyball at Washington International School, leading the team to an undefeated PVAC regular season in 2025–2026. She now serves as Assistant Coach for WIS Varsity Girls Volleyball.
Her coaching combines purposeful technical instruction with an emphasis on confidence, communication, and team connection. Drawing on her professional background in training, facilitation, and leadership development, Stacey adapts instruction to individual athletes and helps players take ownership of their progress. Through Sol VBC, she is building a supportive, competitive environment where athletes work hard, take ownership of their progress, and lift one another up.
